For bug reports, it helps to include:
- Your device model and its software version
- The app version
- What you were doing when the problem happened
- A screenshot, if the problem is visible on screen
None of the apps has advertising or third-party analytics, and only GF Horseboxes Workshop, a private app for one garage's staff, has sign-ins. Each app's privacy policy sets out exactly what it does with your data.

Does Millstone need a phone signal?
No. The Ordnance Survey maps and the bundled walks are part of the app, so it works in aeroplane mode. Only the GPS in your iPhone and Apple Watch is needed.
Can I use my own routes?
Yes. Import any GPX file from the Files app and Millstone will guide you round it.
Which areas do the maps cover?
The whole of the Peak District National Park.

An article won't load or shows a broken reading view
Some publishers change their page structure or block automated readers. Use the "Open in Safari" option on the article to read it at the source, and email me the article link so I can fix the extraction.
Why is there no weather forecast on a fixture?
Forecasts are only available roughly ten days ahead of kickoff, and only when the venue's location is known. Weather forecasts are provided by Apple Weather.
My starred articles and notes aren't syncing between devices
Sync uses your personal iCloud account. Check both devices are signed into the same Apple Account and that iCloud Drive is enabled in System Settings.

How do I get a login?
The garage gives logins to its own staff; there is no public sign-up. Ask the garage's office.
Photos are waiting to upload
The iPad keeps them until it can reach the garage again, then sends them on its own while the app is open. Nothing is lost if the Wi-Fi drops.
I'm a customer of the garage

Where are my recordings and reports?
In the talk folder you opened, inside its rehearsal folder. Lectern never uploads them; it can't use the network at all.
Why does the report say filler words are "not measured"?
Apple's on-device transcription leaves out sounds such as um and uh, so Lectern can't count them. Phrases such as you know and sort of are still counted where your script doesn't have them.
A take won't transcribe
macOS downloads its English speech model the first time it is needed. Connect to the internet once so macOS can fetch it, then choose Try Again on the take.
Recording doesn't start
Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Microphone, and turn Lectern on.
Frame Grab
Step through the videos in your Photos library frame by frame and save the exact frame you want as a photo.

Why does "Loading video" take a while?
The video is being downloaded from iCloud. If Photos is set to Optimize Mac Storage, full-size videos live in iCloud and are fetched when you open one; a long video can take a minute or more. Choosing Download Originals to this Mac in Photos Settings, under iCloud, keeps every video ready to open.
Where is the frame I saved?
In your Photos library, dated to the moment the frame was filmed rather than today, so it sits beside its video. Its name gives the video and the time of the frame.
Which keys does it use?
Left and Right Arrow step one frame, Shift with an arrow steps ten, Space plays and pauses, Return saves the frame, and Esc goes back to your videos.
My videos don't appear
Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Photos, and give Frame Grab full access.
