S2 Hub Privacy Policy

Last updated 10 July 2026

The Short Version

S2 Hub collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no tracking, no third-party analytics, and no ads. Everything the app stores stays on your device or in your personal iCloud.

What the App Stores

  • On your device: downloaded news articles, fixtures, league tables, and squad information — cached so the app works offline.
  • In your personal iCloud: which articles you’ve read, starred articles, your notes, and your preferences. This uses CloudKit’s private database, which only your Apple Account can access. It exists solely so your reading state follows you between your own devices.

Neither I nor anyone else can read your iCloud data. Deleting the app from all your devices and removing its iCloud data in System Settings removes everything.

Network Requests the App Makes

  • News publishers (BBC Sport, The Star, The Guardian, and the other sources listed in the app) — to fetch articles you read. These requests go directly to the publisher and are subject to their own privacy policies.
  • Apple Weather (WeatherKit) — to fetch a forecast for a match venue. The request contains the stadium’s coordinates, never your location. S2 Hub does not request or use your device’s location at all.
  • Wikipedia — to fetch opponent club summaries.

What the App Does Not Do

  • No account or sign-up of any kind
  • No collection of your name, email, location, or contacts
  • No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs
  • No advertising or ad identifiers
  • No selling or sharing of data — there is no data to sell

Changes

If a future version of the app changes any of the above, this policy will be updated before that version ships, with the date at the top revised.
